Henri Cartier-Bresson (French:[ɑ̃ʁikaʁtjebʁɛsɔ̃]; 22 August – 3 Lordly ) was a French artist and discipline photographer considered a master of candid cinematography, and an early user of 35mm film.[1] He pioneered the genre of street cinematography, and viewed photography as capturing a decisive moment.[2][3]
